Addressfinder for Shopify

The Shopify integration adds address autocomplete and verification to the checkout page of your Shopify store.

Addressfinder for Shopify currently only supports Shopify Plus stores. We are working on adding support for regular stores soon.

Installation

Add Addressfinder to your Shopify store by installing the app directly from the Shopify App Store.

Install the Addressfinder app from the Shopify App Store.
Accept the subscription terms. You will be billed for your usage directly through Shopify.
Enable address validation in your checkout settings:
1. Go to your Checkout settings and click Customize next to the checkout configuration you want to customize.
2. In the editor, click Settings (gear icon) on the left-hand side and scroll down to the Address autocompletion section.
3. Turn on Use address autocomplete and select Addressfinder.
4. Configure your address filters in the extension settings.
5. Click Save. The extension will start working immediately.

Testing the extension without going live

You can duplicate your checkout configuration and set it up as a draft to test things without publishing it on your live store. Save and publish your draft configuration when you’re ready to go live.

Lookup usage will be counted even in draft configurations.

First time users get 100 free lookups to get started.

Configuring the address filter

You can customise what type of addresses are being returned in the suggestion dropdown in the extension settings.

Australian data sources: choose which datasets to use for Australian addresses. Selecting None will stop the extension when the country is set to Australia.
New Zealand data sources: choose which datasets to use for New Zealand addresses. Selecting None will stop the extension when the country is set to New Zealand.
Include international addresses: allow the extension to suggest addresses from our international dataset if the selected country is not Australia or New Zealand.
Allow PO Boxes: allow the extension to suggest PO Box addresses.
Allow rural addresses: allow the extension to suggest rural addresses (New Zealand only).
Only show addresses that can have mail delivered: (not recommended) enabling this setting will stop the extension from suggesting addresses marked in the New Zealand and Australian PAFs as not able to receive standard mail. We recommend only enabling this if necessary as some newer properties may take a while to be marked as able to receive mail.

Save and publish your changes when you’re done customising the extension.

Shopify Billing

Your Addressfinder usage in your Shopify store is billed directly through Shopify.

You cannot use your Addressfinder subscription with Shopify at this time. If you are an existing customer, contact us to see how we can help.

You will only be charged for your usage every 30 days per successful lookup at the rate shown in the Shopify Admin.

One successful lookup is counted every time a user selects a verified address from the autocomplete dropdown. The searching and display of addresses is not charged.

Free trial

Addressfinder’s 90-day free trial doesn’t include Shopify.

First time users of the Addressfinder for Shopify app get 100 free lookups to set up and try the extension.

To prevent abuse, lookups generated in the Checkout editor are counted in your total usage. Take advantage of the free lookups to set up and test the extension.

Spending limit

Shopify will set a maximum spending limit as a safeguard, you can change this limit anytime based on your needs in the Shopify Admin.

Shopify will only charge you for your usage every 30 days, if you reach your maximum spending limit, the extension will stop working until the next billing cycle or until you raise your spending limit.
